I sent out a request to a few companies on Yelp and Electric Doctor had the quickest availability. Their prices were in line with the other companies and they were in and out in less than an hour! The electrician that came was super knowledgeable and friendly. Will be contacting them again in the future!

We needed some troubleshooting done on 4 indoor GFCI outlets, a weatherproof outdoor outlet installed, and a front porch light installed. Jim made scheduling the job easy. Moved into a 1915 home with a super outdated electric panel. They upgraded to a new panel with twice as many switched with ease. Everyone I worked with was super informative and helpful. The installation was quick and painless and looks beautiful! Not to mention, they offered the best price and warranty from every other quote I received. Jimmy is one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. I was in panic mode because my electrical outlets outside the house and in the garage were not working (all the food in my freezer was defrosted!). I told Jimmy I had checked all the GFI's in the house so that wasn't the problem. Jimmy said "there are always more hiding" and he offered to face time me. He had me show him around the garage. Sure enough...I was panning the wall and Jimmy pointed out an outlet that was hiding. I had never seen that outlet before in all the time I have lived here. I quoted out several companies to do a panel upgrade on my house and wire electricity to a newly built detached garage. Jimmie with Electric Doctor was the first to suggest an overhead-to-overhead setup to avoid running back additional wires from the house to the garage. He answered all the questions I had about the process over the phone, he and the team completed all the work I requested and more. When do I need to replace my electrical panel?

Panels should be evaluated for replacement or upgrades after 30 years of use. Also, if a panel is undersized, overloaded, improperly located, or an oudated brand such as Federal Pacific or Zinsco, it should be replaced.

What do I do if I smell electrical burning or had an outlet fire?

When it doubt, turn off the circuit at the breaker. For fridges and freezers you can always get a good extension cord and temporarily plug it in to a working outlet to keep your food cold. Call us to come repair the outlet and check the connections to get things back in safe, working order.

What form of payment do you accept? Do you offer terms?

We accept cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). For our recurring customers and national clients, we do offer Net 30 payment terms.

Do you offer discounts?

100% free. We make estimates easy. We can do estimates via text, email, website submission, or we can schedule a free on-site visit.

Where are you located & what areas do you service?

We are centrally located in Englewood near Santa Fe and Oxford. We service the entire Denver Metro Area from Golden to Aurora and Castle Rock to Broomfield.

My home has aluminum wiring, is that bad?

Single strand aluminum is a softer metal than copper and newer switches and outlets are generally rated for copper connections only. We want to make sure the connection points for the wiring are well maintained. We pigtail outlets, switches, and fixtures with UL Listed Alumiconn connectors and maintenance or replace your panel. Aluminum for dryers and ranges can be okay but generally are only 3-wires instead of newer 4-wires. If you are removing drywall for a remodel or have new appliances installed, that's when we replace the wiring.

Why are electricians priced so differently for the same job?

There are a lot of reasons why you can get a wide variety of pricing. Experience, as well as patience means different electricians see the installation in different ways. Quality, warranty, commission based sales, etc can all be part of the pricing. We use our own standard price menu to give a consistent price to all our customers and always perform a quality installation and back it with our one or three year warranty.
